Retouching of Headshots

Believe it or not, it takes time and skill to retouch headshots correctly. This is why all photographers charge around $20 PER headshot to correct lighting, erase blemishes, fix coloring, hair, makeup, cropping, etc. I do this for you as part of my headshot services!

Creating your professional profile on casting websites

($200 Value)

There's a number of casting websites you may want to consider to find auditions. Actors Access, Casting Networks and Backstage.com are the primary websites to create your actor profiles. Of course, using each website is different and takes time to figure out how to load your resume, headshots, and videos. It can be frustrating. I'll take care of this for you. I'll also teach you how to search projects and submit for auditions.

Setting up your self-taped audition space

Setting up your self-taped audition space can be a little overwhelming, but it's easier than you think. I'll walk you through each piece of equipment needed, where to buy them at the best bargain, setting them up in your space, and how to use the editing software. It doesn't need to be an expensive set up. It truly is "lights, camera, and action" AND a little more equipment.

Self-taped Audition Techniques

There's A LOT to learn here. I combine self-taped audition techniques with acting techniques, including basics in scene study, character development, memorization, making entrances & exits, knowing your moment before the scene starts, creating a "button" and how to handle the awkward scenes where physicality is on the page but you're required to stay in the frame, and much more.

All of this is on top of the technical aspects of working on camera, correct eyeline, and connecting with your reader.

Slate Shots

($100 Value)

Actors Access is probably the most used website for auditions by casting directors and producers for film and TV shows. A casting director can receive hundreds, even thousands of actor submissions for each role. Actors appear on a casting director's monitor as small thumbnail photos. Catching the casting director's eye FIRST is an advantage. Actors Access prioritizes those accounts that have headshots, resumes, video clips AND slate shots. Let's take care of this immediately so you're at the front of the line!

Creating your professional reel or video clips

If a casting director considers you for an audition, they'll probably click on your video clip or reel if it's available. They'd like to see what you look and sound like on camera. Even if you don't have good video footage from actual film projects, taping yourself in a mock-audition setting will do the trick. It means that you don't have any actual footage, so it better be excellent! 

We'll select the perfect audition scenes to film. I'll coach you through each scene, read with you and of course, edit the video to upload to Actors Access.
